No. No you do not. Not for awhile.

Well, hey guys, DAMN I haven't been on DA for awhile, you can thank I Wanna Be The Guy for that. (That's me, always blaming everything else.)
Well, ok. No theres more. College, getting a job, losing the job, crashing the car....(I was cursed after renting Snakes On A Plane you see.) (NO DAMAGE TO MY CAR! )....stuff I will probably not be going into as much as the prementioned game. This journal is more or less, a plug for the game.

Let's see.....how to describe IWBTG.....well.....

IWBTG is plain unfair. You start out as this......this GUY.....named the KID, not the GUY, and you have a little classic-like megaman type shoot gun. It fires 4 shots at a time. And doesn't charge.
"CERTAINLY this game will be about going around, fighting bosses, and getting powerups to upgrade this thing", you start to think. That thought is immediately jolted out of your mind, when a speeding apple maims and kills you, resulting in a bloody mess throughout the entire screen. Heavy metal music from Guilty Gear then plays to add insult to injury.
You have one life in your journey to become The Guy. Just one hit from anything kills you. And EVERYTHING IS OUT TO GET YOU. At points I've even had the ground move JUST enough out of my reach to kill me. There will be many screens that will make you basically reenact this.

This game will probably make you paranoid of everything for the rest of your life.

Anyways, there's little plot, and you are the weakest character in the game, who wants to become Chuck Norris The Guy, and the only place you are actually safe is in a game over screen. So why am I still playing?

Because IWBTG is incredibly fun and addicting.

IWBTG is a very fun game, probably more fun than many games you actually have to pay for. It definitely lasts longer. The suffering just makes it more enjoyable. After practicing the feat to accomplish (Such as falling down a screen full of spikes and having to dodge each and every one of them.) it actually becomes possible, and sometimes second nature.
What's more, there are tons of references to nintendo games from back in the day, most of the worlds are based on Mario, Castlevania, Zelda, Metroid, Megaman, and others. Right now I am stuck in Tourian from Super Metroid. How nostalgic, and Super Metroid rocked!

That being said, your travels in each sadistically difficult realm are never complete until you bring down the boss of each world. And it's never as simple as it looks. You know what kind of game you got yourself into when a 100 foot tall Mike Tyson is breathing fire at you.

This probably means I have to fight Mother Brain now..........eep. My fingers hurt already.

There are a total of eight bosses that I know of. I'm not gonna list em, cause finding out what kinda mess you got yourself into is half the fun

All is not lost however, because there are save points all over the place, depending on what difficulty level you choose. If you choose

Impossible, there are no save points, you have to run the whole thing in one shot. Noone but the game's creator, Kayin, and cheaters can ever accomplish that. I stand firmly by that remark, even though I know there are videos on youtube that show otherwise.

Very Hard is the mode I suppose most play the game on. It's got a save point perhaps every 5 screens. Don't think that's too much of a problem? OH YOU WILL.

Hard is the mode I play on, and it's the lowest you can go for normal saves. I get a save point every 3ish rooms ^^

Medium is a mode that gives you every save point hard has, plus afew others just randomly put there to make your life a bit easier. But when you use those save points.......you sorta feel like a wuss. Why this is I have no idea......perhaps it's because instead of "save" these ones say "WUSS" and also you're wearing a chicken comb on your head.

Easy Does not exist, because nothing in this game could ever make it "Easy"

Now here's the part that may deter you. You have to DOWNLOAD the game. You can't just go and play it directly off a site, like a flash movie. This game is too big to fit on a site anyway. However, do not run, for this is a fast, virus free (I'm always a skeptic), download, and you will soon enjoy suffering in agony for the rest of your days.

All you have to do is go here The official site , from there, click on "downloads" and click on the link that leads you to megaupload (trust me, it'll be much faster).

For those of you who do not know how to use Megaupload, (It's a horrible layout), just look to the top of that screen where something that looks like an ad is. It's not an ad, you just have to type that 3 digit code into the box and hit enter, then wait about a minute for the FREE download button to appear. In about 5 minutes you will have the game!

Save often, and dont mess with the save folder XP


And to wrap this up, the game even has a discussion forum, where you can get help if you're stuck, get great technical support if your save is messed up, rant about how much you hate Kayin (The creator) (No, not Jigsaw), or just spam overused memes. The board is very friendly and welcoming. The game is not.
